Thanks for the article, but you have some basic misunderstandings of electromagnetic (EM) radiation.Don't worry, not of the Dorney sort.

The EM spectrum is arranged in frequency not energy levels. That is the wavelength of the waves. It is confusing because at higher frequencies people talk about photons and energy. Microwaves don't do anything different in terms of the field, the rapid switching you talk about is the frequency of the EM radiation. What differs is the physical mechanism in the case of microwaves, dielectric heating - rather than the associated photon ionising of atoms (which microwaves do not do). The 500 W associated with a microwave is the field strength, the amplitude of the wave or V/m in the oven, the higher the V/m the more force the dipole moment feels and the more it swings around, the higher the frequency the more often it swings around.

If anyone is worried (I don't) about cell phones, and microwaving their head get an wired earphone extension and that will cut out almost everything.

Owen, I admire your obvious intellect and command of the English Language but your obvious belief that no-one else is capable of investigating issues revolving around our day-to-day lives is irritating.

I do rely on the mainstream media to supply me with all the BS
I then go to a group of dedicated medical people(mostly from the States)who publish articles regarding the natural cures for health conditions and uncover the lies and fabrications perpetuated by big Pharma.

Unfortunately,everything goes back to money and profit. I can state categorically that in the next 6 months you will be shocked by the information which is coming out,information which has cost hundreds of millions of lives and should result in the perpetrators being incarcerated for crimes against humanity.

You will also eventually find out what the banks(and the handful of people that control them) have been doing to us for 100 years. Over 450 TOP people in banks around the world have resigned within the last 4 months. Rats bailing ship?

Fact 1: Doctors will usually tell you that when Chemotherapy is your best option for dealing with inoperable cancer.

Fact 2: Chemotherapy is the best possible treatment for cancer.

Fact 1 is true. When a close family member of mine was diagnosed with terminal cancer, that's what we were told, as is the case for most other cancer sufferers. This is often also recommended in conjunction with surgery and radiotherapy, the combination of which represents the standard of care for most kinds of cancer.

Fact 2 is not true, and no intellectually honest person (doctor, scientist or otherwise) could ever claim it was. Chemotherapy might be the best available option today (in some cases, but certainly not all), but nobody can claim that it's the best possible treatment ever. Right now doctors and scientists in laboratories all over the world are working on a wide range of possible interventions that could treat or even eradicate certain types of cancer in the future.

So, a better formulation of that statement that would be true would be something like "Given the best available technology and evidence currently at our disposal, most oncologists recommend chemotherapy as part of a comprehensive treatment for many serious cases of a variety of cancers."

I'd suggest not relying on mainstream media for your science news. They usually get it wrong Rather go to dedicated science-related media outlets (like Scientific American, New Scientist, LiveScience or Consilience: an African Science Podcast), because although they're not perfect, they tend to be more reliable and accurate in their reporting.

And also learn a bit about how science works: hypothesis testing, peer review and replication in particular. That knowledge will help you parse the available literature, and assess the probabilities in any given news item about this or that new discovery.

The "how", the "when", the "why" are degrees that separate us from the "know".

Not knowing how the Pyramids were built, is not knowing of the technology used to build them.

Posed with this problem man is put in a position of trying to find a clue, a common denominator, or something within his sphere of experience in order to lead him to knowing and he does this by considering the technology that would definitely not have been used, until all possibilities have been exhausted at which point he has to say, "I do not know", which would lead to the inevitable conclusion that in spite of the pyramids having been built, they were not built by us.

Therefore the point here is not the "magic" that must have been used, but the very significant fact that it was not us who built them.

Arriving at such a point totally overrides, overshadows and reduces to total insignificance anything said, or can be said the very next second or any time thereafter, after such an arrival.

By not emphasizing the irrelevant, will result in having to deal with the facts.

What Makes Humans Special?

Besides the fact that this question is undefined, I will nevertheless be presumptive in my comprehension of it and answer it, even in spite of it being the most self-answering question that can ever be asked, it behoves me to answer it out of sheer pity for the Asker for asking it.

Humans are "special" because they are "The Perfect Slave".

It should be obvious that in trying to categorize people (as in all people) as those who all think they are superior to the fauna and flora of this planet, it simply shows that the Asker is actually directing his question to those only, whom he thinks, thinks they are.

In actuality, all people are aware that all fauna and flora on this planet could co-exist without man, but man could not exist without it, albeit that in all probability it could take this very experience for man to prove this fact.

As man adds no intrinsic value to nature on this planet, the Asker would be wiser to ask, "What is Man?"

I shall leave it at that out of pity for the Asker, as he has yet to discover he has a left foot.

Ag nee Owen, for as far back as I can remember, when you got cancer, the doctor immediately told you that your only chance was to go onto Chemotherapy. That wasn`t a theory my friend, as far as that doctor was concerned,that was a fact.
