Let’s assume for a moment that it is possible for the human mind to function within a computer.
As long as there is a computer to run, or a storage medium to house the mind, the mind will continue to exist. Theoretically idefinitely.
Plus, like any other data, the mind can be copied, and installed onto other systems… the more copies there are of you in existence, the less likely it is that all of you will be wiped out.
